Familiefest is the annual children’s festival at Het Nieuwe Instituut. After hosting many workshops over the years, I was asked to develop a visual identity for the festival.

The identity is modular and flexible, built from shapes that can be reinterpreted each time. Because it feels as if children temporarily take over the entire museum, I designed a playful pirate flag. The style is continuously evolving and has expanded into objects such as brooches, tablecloths, stamp cards and programmes.
